Hi, I’m Abi.

I have a Foundation Degree (FdSc) in Canine Behaviour and Training from Bishop Burton and I’m currently furthering my studies with a BSc (Hons) in Canine Behaviour Management. My experience includes working in rescue environments with dogs from all backgrounds, which has given me valuable insight into a wide range of behavioural challenges.

Alongside running Barker’s Academy, I work as a Dog Wellbeing Technician with Guide Dogs, ensuring I stay up to date with best practices in canine welfare and training. I am also fully insured and Canine First Aid trained, so you can have peace of mind that your dog is in safe, knowledgeable hands.

I use force-free, science-backed training methods that prioritise your dog’s welfare and long-term success. Having trained and competed my own dogs up to Grade 4 in Agility, I understand the importance of structured, positive training—whether for everyday life or competitive activities.

    • Initial Training & Behaviour Consultation
      (Includes a tailored, personalised behaviour assessment and training plan) – £45 (1 hour)

    • Follow-Up Training Sessions – £30 (1 hour)

    • One-to-One Training Walk – £30 (1 hour)

    • Group Walks (45 minutes – 1 hour) – £15

      • Additional dogs from the same household: +£5 each

    • Individual Walks (1 hour) – £20

      • Additional dogs from the same household: +£5 each

    • Puppy Training Walks (up to 30 minutes) – £20

    • Pop-In Visit (30 minutes) – £12

    • Extended Pop-In Visit (1 hour) – £24

    • Dog Sitting (2 hours) – £48
